Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how A3E Ecosystem Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on the NeuroTrade platform.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to the site operator.
Cookies can be "session cookies" (which are deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services embedded on the page ("third-party cookies").
2. Cookies We Use
We use three categories of cookies on the NeuroTrade platform:
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled. Without them, you would not be able to log in, maintain a session, or use core features.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| nt_session | Stores your JSON Web Token (JWT) for authenticated session management. This cookie is sent with every request to verify your identity. | 24 hours (session), 30 days (if "remember me" is selected) | Essential |
| nt_csrf | Cross-Site Request Forgery protection token. Prevents unauthorized requests from being made on your behalf. | Session | Essential |
| nt_tier | Stores your current subscription tier to render the appropriate feature set without an additional server request on each page load. | Session | Essential |
2.2 Preference Cookies
These cookies store your preferences and settings so the Platform can remember your choices across sessions.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| nt_theme | Stores your selected theme preference (e.g., dark mode variant or chart colour scheme). | 1 year | Preference |
| nt_tz | Stores your timezone preference for displaying timestamps, trade histories, and market data in your local time. | 1 year | Preference |
| nt_cookie_consent | Records your cookie consent preferences so we do not prompt you again on each visit. | 1 year | Preference |
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Platform, which pages are most visited, which features are most used, and where users encounter issues. All analytics data is collected in aggregate form and is not used to personally identify individual users.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| nt_analytics_id | A randomly generated anonymous identifier used to distinguish unique visitors and sessions for aggregate traffic analysis. This identifier is not linked to your user account or personal information. | 1 year | Analytics |
| nt_page_views | Tracks page view counts and navigation paths within a session to help us identify usability improvements and measure feature adoption. | Session | Analytics |
| nt_feature_usage | Records which Platform features are accessed during a session (e.g., strategy builder, backtesting, risk settings) to inform product development priorities. | Session | Analytics |
3. Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use the following technologies:
- Local Storage: Used to cache non-sensitive application state (such as recent chart configurations and dashboard layout preferences) in your browser to improve load times. Local storage does not expire automatically but can be cleared through your browser settings.
- Session Storage: Used for temporary data that should not persist after you close the browser tab, such as unsaved form inputs and transient UI state.
These technologies are subject to the same principles described in this Cookie Policy.
4. How to Manage and Opt Out of Cookies
You have control over the cookies placed on your device. Here are your options:
4.1 Through the Platform
When you first visit NeuroTrade, a cookie consent banner will allow you to accept or decline non-essential cookies (Preference and Analytics categories). You can change your preferences at any time through your account settings under "Privacy Preferences."
4.2 Through Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View which cookies are currently stored on your device
- Delete some or all existing cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed
Common browser cookie management pages:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data
4.3 Impact of Disabling Cookies
Please note the following if you choose to restrict cookies:
- Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core Platform functionality. If you block these cookies, you will not be able to log in or use authenticated features.
- Disabling preference cookies means the Platform will not remember your settings between visits. You may need to re-select your preferences each time.
- Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your use of the Platform. It simply means we will not be able to include your activity in our aggregate usage statistics.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. As there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, NeuroTrade does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, we do not use third-party advertising trackers regardless of your DNT setting.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, for material changes, notify you through the Platform or by email.
